Protocols & Information
We are excited to start the SWEP Fall activities Monday, September 9th!
Please see below for the details of the protocols and other important information regarding this SWEP Session.
1. Weekday SWEP: After School Protocols
PreK-3 - Grade 5 / Foundation - Year 6
Students in PK3-Grade 2 / Foundation 3 - Year 3 are not allowed to take the late school bus. Parents/Guardians MUST come to school to pick up their children and are responsible for taking them to their SWEP activities and picking them up from the activity locations at the conclusion.
Parents must wear and have their lanyards, and school ID badges visible at all times.
Location and start time is noted in SchoolsBuddy.
Parents should not wait/stay inside the SWEP activity location.
Parents can purchase snacks or beverages at the MPC Cafe from 3:20 PM.
MPC Cafe will close at 4:50 pm and students will not be able to purchase snacks or beverages from the cafe after 4:50 pm.
If the student has to wait for their Block B (4:15-5:00 PM) activity, they can play at the playground, or stay at the cafeteria, but must be accompanied and supervised by parents/guardians at all times.
Grade 3-5 / Year 4-6
Grade 3-5 / Year 4-6, students, who take the late school bus, must stay in the MPC Cafeteria when they have a block without any activities. Supervision will be provided in the cafeteria, and students are expected to do homework, read books, or eat snacks during this time. Students are responsible for going directly to their SWEP activity locations by themselves.
Students can purchase snacks/drinks at the MPC Cafe starting at 3:20 PM.
Grade 6-8 / Year 7-9
1. Only students who have after school activities are allowed to stay on campus during after school.
2. Students are required to stay in a designated GREEN ZONE when they have a block without activities. The Green Zone Locations are:
Middle School: Cafeteria, MS Atrium, MS Basketball Courts, and MS Library until 4:30 PM
British School: Cafeteria, BS Reception, BS Basketball Court, and BS Playground
3. Students can purchase snacks/drinks at the MPC Cafe starting at 3:20 PM.
Grade 9-12
1. Students are not allowed to leave campus and then return for an activity.
2. Students can get snacks/drinks at the MPC Cafe starting at 3:20 PM.
2. Saturday SWEP: Campus Entry Protocols
SATURDAY SWEP Campus Entry Protocols
All students and parents/guardians should follow the following procedures when entering campus on Saturdays:
Parents should park their vehicles at the HS parking garage.
Parents/Guardians must wear and have their lanyards, and school ID badges visible at all times.
Parents/Guardians with younger children must take them to and pick them up from their SWEP activity locations. SWEP instructors will not assist with pick up and drop off.
Parents/Guardians Should not wait/stay in the SWEP activity location and please note that MPC Cafe and Crave are closed on Saturdays.
Outdoor Activities on Saturdays - Move Indoors on Bad Air/Weather Days
Outdoor SWEP activities may be canceled on bad air or weather days. We will email parents by 7:15 AM if outdoor activities are canceled or moved indoors. Please turn on your email push notifications for the email you registered on SWEP and/or be sure to check by 7:15 am to see if there has been a cancellation. We will NOT be sending cancellation information on Saturdays by text message.
3. SWEP Session Dates
We highly recommend parents to check their children’s SWEP activity dates, as some classes are not scheduled every week due to facility availability, or the instructor’s availability. The session dates can be found by clicking on the “Details” button of each activity from the "Activities List" page of this website, or on SchoolsBuddy diary.

5. Air Quality / Weather Cancellations
Please be reminded that outdoor SWEP activities may be canceled depending on extreme weather such as rain, snow, heat, cold, thunderstorms, lightning, or air pollution. In this case, parents will receive communication at the earliest opportunity, and the activity will be canceled. On weekdays, if the activity is cancelled on the day of, then we will also send a text message to the parents.
In regards to Air Quality, we will follow the SFS’ Air Quality Guidelines when we make decisions about canceling outdoor activities.

6. Late Bus Information
Students in Grade 3/Year 4 or older on weekdays are eligible for the late bus, if they are a school bus rider. The late buses are organized on slightly different routes and the drop off locations may not be the same as the normal drop off location of the regular bus. Please contact Ms. Emma Woo from the Transportation Office at emma.woo@seoulforeign.org to find out and discuss your child/ren’s late bus availability and ensure you are aware of the drop off locations, and expected drop off times.
7. Reminder for the Material Fees
If your child is registered for an activity that requires a fee for the materials, the amount has been indicated on the SWEP Website. Please find the activity that your child is participating in from the "Activities List" page, and click on the "DETAILS" button to check if there are any material fees. Please have your child bring the materials fee in an envelope to the SWEP instructor on the first day of class. Please put the student name and ID number on the envelope.
8. SWEP Emergency Phone Number
SWEP Emergency phone will be answered only during SWEP Sessions, from 9:00 am-5:00 pm on weekdays and 8:30 am-3:00 pm on Saturdays.
