FAQs

How can students register for SWEP activities?

Parents will complete the registration for their child/ren. We use SchoolsBuddy as our online registration and payment platform (web and app based) for the SWEP activities. Parents/Guardians will receive an activation link via email which will allow them to complete the SWEP registration through SchoolsBuddy.

Is registration first-come-first-served?

No, sign ups will be preference based and students will be allocated based on indicated preference, rather than first come first served. Parents can make selections for up to three (3) choices per day for each Block.

What happens if an activity gets oversubscribed?

If an activity is oversubscribed, SchoolsBuddy will use its algorithm to fairly allocate students based on their preferences. The selection process (registration) is NOT to confirm a spot for your child. After 4 days from the last day of the registration, parents will receive an allocation confirmation email of which activities that their child has been allocated to.

Can all students take the late bus?

For regular bus riders, late buses are available for students in Grade 3/Year 4 and older on weekdays and depart at 5:15 pm. Late bus routes are not the same as the regular buses, so please contact Ms. Emma Woo from the Transportation Office at emma.woo@seoulforeign.org to check the drop off locations and times.

How would students get to the activity location?

Parents/Guardians with child/ren below Grade 3/Year 4 will be responsible to pick up their child/ren after school, and to take them to their SWEP activity location.

Can students register for only one hour during a day? If so, is there a waiting area that is supervised by an adult?

Yes, students can register only for one hour block during a day, and there is a waiting area for students.

Elementary and Key Stage 2 students who are signed up for only one hour of SWEP activity (either only Block A or B) can stay in the main Cafeteria and wait for their late buses or their next SWEP activity. Supervision will be provided and students are supposed to read a book or do homework. They can purchase snacks from the Cafe if needed.

Middle School and Key Stage 3 students can stay in their assigned green zones - MS Library, MS Atrium, and etc. Loose supervision is provided.

High School students can stay in the High School building.

Can students cancel the activity for free?

Activities can be canceled for free during the free cancellation period. If cancellation is requested after this period, parents will be charged a cancellation fee, or receive SchoolsBuddy credit if cancellation was requested after completing the payment. Cancellation Fee Schedules can be found in the SWEP Policy.

How do I make the payment?

Payments can be made only via domestic or international wire transfers in Korean Won. Virtual account assigned to each student is the same one assigned for tuition payments. The invoice will be sent via email from the school Business Office.

If there is a conflict in student's schedule with other school events/practices, do parents receive a refund?

No, parents will not receive refunds when a student misses his/her SWEP activity due to other commitments.
